Welcome to the leADDership brief
A weekly newsletter for creative and innovative people, like you, with ADHD who want timely, helpful, and interesting resources
for leading and living well with ADHD.

Do you ever have a week where you just drop all the balls no matter how hard you were trying to juggle them?

This past week it seemed like I dropped all the balls: big, little, important, and not so important.

Turns out I’m not a great juggler.

Things I forgot to do and completely dropped the ball:

  • I forgot to send two clients resources and information I promised them

  • I forgot to reschedule an ADHD coach call with a client and missed their call

  • I forgot to send monthly invoices to my clients

  • I forgot to send welcome letters and new client on-boarding information to several new clients

  • I didn’t work on the newsletter topic I had planned for this week’s edition of the leADDership brief

  • I forgot to eat on a regular basis

  • Drank waaay too much coffee

  • Ate more ice cream in a week than I do in a year

  • Broke all of my sleep hygiene rules

  • Didn’t follow any routine all week

There is a very good reason for dropping all those balls and I have a very exciting “excuse” for dropping all those balls…

Let Me Introduce You To…

Grandson #2 born 10/17/19!

That’s right! I became a grandma again and we are completely in love with this new little boy who joined our family.

Let’s just say I got a little, tiny bit, hyper-focused on this sweet boy and helping the new family adjust to their new normal. I didn’t just drop balls, for a moment, I forgot I had balls in my hands at all.

That’s me, Kevin, Riven, and Hawken on Sunday afternoon enjoying a sunny afternoon before we headed back to Iowa.

I was on “call” this month to watch grandson #1 as our daughter-in-law was likely going to deliver early and that’s exactly what happened.

That meant my routine, schedule, and plans were up in the air and subject to change at any moment. Which they often did. I was 100% grateful to be in a position to be that available to our son and daughter-in-law but it had it’s consequences, which some of you, as clients, experienced and felt with me this past couple of weeks.

Thank you to all of you for your grace and patience with me.

I’m looking forward to getting back on track and into my routine this week.

And that’s it, that’s the newsletter this week.

I’m a grandma again and life is beautiful and wonderful and crazy and full and overwhelming I wouldn’t want it any other way.

I don’t have any pithy or deep thoughts about getting back on track and picking up all those balls I’ve dropped this week but it is certainly a topic for a future newsletter.

Don’t forget to follow me on the socials…
